Doing Business in 2006
This publication is the third in a series of annual reports giving a comparative analysis of business regulations and their enforcement across 155 countries and over time. Comparable data indicators are given for 10 topics: starting a business, dealing with licences, hiring and firing workers, registering property, getting credit, investment protection, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts, and closing a business. These indicators are used to assess socio-economic outcomes including levels of unemployment and poverty, productivity, investment and corruption; and to identify which regulatory measures enhance business activity and those that work to constrain it. This is a co-publication of the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation.

A investigação esclarece definitivamente os 110 anos de vida dessa história, com as referências de cada partida, incluindo as escalações detalhadas dos adversários e os seus treinadores. O trabalho consumiu dois anos e chegou ao limite. Foram consultados impressos, com prioridade para jornais e revistas oferecidos pela Biblioteca Nacional, além de sites e livros expostos na internet, e os teipes parciais ou completos de mais de três centenas de partidas. A coleção de livros do autor também teve grande importância. Houve ainda frequentes consultas, por e-mail e telefone, no Brasil e no exterior, aos que poderiam fornecer indicações e esclarecimentos. Há ainda um texto de apoio para cada década e a relação completa de todos os jogadores que vestiram a camisa rubro-negra pelo menos uma vez, com a identificação de praticamente todos eles, para que não reste alguma desconfiança sobre as suas existências. New Concepts on Abdominoplasty and Further Applications
This book documents the important advances that have been achieved in abdominoplasty over the past 15 years, in particular through the introduction of a nontraumatic approach associated with minimal morbidity owing to the avoidance of resection of abdominal panniculus and damage to the perforating vessels. The surgical principles of this procedure, including in combination with liposuction, are fully described by its developer, Juarez Avelar, with the aid of a wealth of color illustrations. A miniabdominoplasty option is also discussed and recent significant technical contributions such as various new plication techniques and means of minimizing complications are clearly presented. In addition, a series of chapters explain how the surgical principles underlying the described nontraumatic method of abdominoplasty can now be applied to other areas of the body, for example to improve rhytidoplasty, ear reconstruction, body contouring, and medial thigh lifting. This book enables the plastic surgeon to apply the latest abdominoplasty techniques effectively and safely.
