No entanto, é possível, por meio da interpretação intercultural, superar esses obstáculos, garantindo um acesso à justiça mais plural. Reconhecer a diversidade da sociedade brasileira e compreender o princípio da igualdade como um mandamento antidiscriminatório são elementos essenciais para a efetivação dos direitos dos povos indígenas previstos nas normas internacionais e nacionais. Além disso, é preciso reconhecer que as mulheres indígenas também sofrem obstáculos específicos para acessar a justiça, em face da discriminação de gênero. Por tudo isso, este livro pretende descortinar as amarras discriminatórias que levaram os povos indígenas a uma situação de invisibilidade e, por meio da interpretação intercultural, colaborar para a superação das barreiras de acesso desses povos à justiça
