This code of practice sets out the statutory requirements for materials, performance and standards of workmanship for use in association with street works by utilities and other undertakers with apparatus in the street. It applies in England only and comes into effect on 1 October 2010, when it replaces the 2nd edition (2002, ISBN 9780115525384).

Earning Animals
This book on “Earning Animals” is written with a view to highlight the importance of some invertebrate and vertebrate species used for earning both at individual and national levels. It aims at creating awareness among students, entrepreneurs and unemployed youth for gainful employment. The candidate species selected are some useful annelids, arthropods, unio, fish and mammals. A chapter on aquaponics – a method of cultivation of fish and plant farming devoid of soil – has also been described. Since most of these animal species are included in the syllabi of Indian Universities and colleges, the authors believe this book will be helpful to the students to meet their curricular requirements.
Advances in Sea Cucumber Aquaculture and Management
This publication contains current information on the status of world sea cucumber resources and use, focusing on established countries such as China, Ecuador, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and the Philippines, as well as relative newcomers to the sector such as Cuba, Egypt, Madagascar and Tanzania. Issues discussed include technical advances in artificial reproduction and farming of selected commercial species; and the report includes the recommendations of a FAO workshop on cucumber aquaculture and management, held in China, in October 2003.

Philoponus: On Aristotle On Coming to be and Perishing 2.5-11
Until the launch of this series over ten years ago, the 15,000 volumes of the ancient Greek commentators on Aristotle, written mainly between 200 and 600 AD, constituted the largest corpus of extant Greek philosophical writings not translated into English or other European languages. Subjects covered in this, the third and last, volume of translation of this work include: why the elements are four in number; what's wrong with Empedocles' theory of elements; how homogeneous stuffs, particularly the tissues of a living body, come to be and consist of the elements. The volume also contains very important discussions of causes, particularly of efficient cause, and of necessity in the sphere of generation and corruption. It is of interest to students of ancient philosophy and science (the commentary draws on earlier philosophical and medical texts); of Patristics and Christian Theology (it allows comparison of Philoponus' later creationist doctrine with his earlier ideas about generation); of medieval philosophy (this text was known to the Arabs; it is used by Avicenna and Averroes); and to anyone with interest in the metaphysics of causation, emergence, necessity and determinism.
