'A Life For a Love' is a tale that begins with two sisters who are dealing with their brother's upcoming wedding to Valentine Paget. Lilias is struggling with the idea of her brother leaving to become a clergyman in London and wishes he didn't have to go. Marjory tries to console her, but Lilias is inconsolable. Despite the tension, there is a sense of love and support between the sisters, which makes this story a touching and enjoyable read.
