El 22 d'abril de 1988, l'endemà de la mort de sa mare, Blai Bonet escriu una carta "atroç" a Albert Roig i escriu el poema Dotze hores després de tornar orfe. Blai Bonet era orfe de pare des dels onze anys. Miquel Bauçà era orfe de mare des dels dotze anys, "Vaig néixer un 7 de febrer de l'any quaranta, i el 14 del mateix mes, dotze anys més tard, la mare va decidir de constituir-me orfe". Després de la mort de Joan Petit, la seva dona, Margarita Fontserè, es mata. Joan Vinyoli li escriu El darrer solatge. El seu amic Gabriel Ferrater, fill d'un suïcida, també es mata, es posa una bossa de plàstic al cap, se l'anusa. J. V. Foix li escriu Tots hi serem al port amb la Desconeguda, li diu "Deies —no ho deies tot!— que aquella nit era un clam de ganivets damunt la gola nua, el crit d'un paper escrit". Són els fills de la Guerra Civil. Ara Albert Roig els deixa parlar, els filma.

Els ulls de la gossa
Els ulls de la gossa aplega (gairebé) tota la poesia d'Albert Roig (Tortosa 1959): des del seu primer llibre, Com un àngel a les mans d'un barber, escrit quan tenia vint anys, a Tortosa, fins a La tempesta, començat quan en tenia quaranta-cinc, al Brasil, i enllestit ara. En l'endemig, molts poemes fins ara desconeguts, i la versió definitiva dels poemes que han fet d'Albert Roig un dels capdavanters de la seva generació.
La tempesta
Els poemes que formen part de La Tempesta s'organitzen en vuit seccions, que ens porten a recórrer paisatges vells i nous en la poesia de l'autor. Destaquen, sobretot, les proses poètiques, d'una potència extraordinària, i els llargs poemes narratius, que Roig fins ara no havia conreat, en què pren vida un món poètic en plenitud, enriquit per l'experiència brasilera del poeta. A més, La tempesta conté també elements d'homenatge a Rainer Maria Rilke i, com el títol fa evident, a William Shakespeare.

The Virgin and the Grail
Some fifty years before Chrétien de Troyes wrote what is probably the first and certainly the most influential story of the Holy Grail, images of the Virgin Mary with a simple but radiant bowl (called a “grail” in local dialect) appeared in churches in the Spanish Pyrenees. In this fascinating book, Joseph Goering explores the links between these sacred images and the origins of one of the West’s most enduring legends. While tracing the early history of the grail, Goering looks back to the Pyrenean religious paintings and argues that they were the original inspiration of the grail legend. He explains how storytellers in northern France could have learned of these paintings and how the enigmatic “grail” in the hands of the Virgin came to form the centerpiece of a story about a knight in King Arthur’s court. Part of the allure of the grail, Goering argues, was that neither Chrétien nor his audience knew exactly what it represented or why it was so important. And out of the attempts to answer those questions the literature of the Holy Grail was born.
