Atlas of Functional Shoulder Anatomy

The anatomy of the shoulder is based on complex joint biomechanics. The purpose of this Atlas is to focus the reader’s attention on a series of bone, ligament, muscle and tendon structures and ultrastructures within the shoulder on which only the most recent international literature has reported in specialized journals. This Atlas also presents extremely high-definition images of "targeted" sections obtained from cadavers preserved using state-of-art techniques. This unique Atlas, making use of images of major visual impact, offers a scientific message on a topical joint, using simple but dedicated descriptive language.

Shoulder Instability

Over the past few years, international literature has highlighted the limitations of arthroscopic treatment for antero-inferior instability of the shoulder. Therefore, the question arises as to which technique – open surgery or arthroscopy – may represent the best alternative to the classical arthroscopic capsuloplasty. The volume is organized into five chapters and presents five different techniques. Each chapter describes the non-surgical and surgical algorithms for the treatment of unidirectional and multidirectional antero-inferior instabilities, with and without shoulder laxity. The chapters offer a detailed description of each technique, enhanced by 10–15 high-definition photographs, tips and tricks, and pitfalls, as well as surgical steps. The book is aimed at medical students, fellows, specialists , orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation and generalist physicians.

This cutting-edge monograph on advanced clinical anatomy and pathoanatomy of the shoulder, written by the world’s leading authors, reflects recent significant advances in understanding of anatomy and pathology. It is beautifully illustrated with exquisite photographs of anatomical specimens, and images from arthroscopy, histology, and radiology complete the picture. The accompanying text brings out the clinical, biomechanical, and functional relevance and focuses on aspects important to the high-performance athlete. In addition, the book closely assesses how each component of the normal anatomy responds to trauma, disease, and degeneration. The finer points of the pathoanatomy are demon...

RF Circuit Design

A Must-Read for all RF/RFIC Circuit Designers This book targets the four most difficult skills facing RF/RFIC designers today: impedance matching, RF/AC grounding, Six Sigma design, and RFIC technology. Unlike most books on the market, it presents readers with practical engineering design examples to explore how they're used to solve ever more complex problems. The content is divided into three key parts: Individual RF block circuit design Basic RF circuit design skills RF system engineering The author assumes a fundamental background in RF circuit design theory, and the goal of the book is to enable readers to master the correct methodology. The book includes treatment of special circuit topologies and introduces some useful schemes for simulation and layout. This is a must-read for RF/RFIC circuit design engineers, system designers working with communication systems, and graduates and researchers in related fields.
