Experiencias de bioconstrucción: conceptos generales y visiones desde México
En momentos como el presente, en el que los recursos naturales cada vez se vuelven más escasos y los daños al medio ambiente provocados por la actividad humana se han hecho irreversibles, se desarrolla una forma de habitar que busca recuperar los conocimientos ancestrales de la construcción y el equilibrio con el planeta. Bioconstruir significa ser parte de la trama de la vida en donde cada una de las decisiones que tomemos al transformar nuestro entorno sea una forma de mejorarlo. Es una manera de integrar los edificios al clima y a las condiciones del lugar, a la cultura y a la comunidad con el fin de reducir el consumo de recursos, al mismo tiempo que se mejora la calidad de vida en toda la extensión de la palabra. Es generar procesos constructivos que propicien la convivencia, la cooperación y la armonía entre los seres humanos. Este libro es un botón de muestra de las obras que en esta línea se han realizado en años recientes en un proceso que afortunadamente está creciendo de manera exponencial.
Los sistemas agroalimentarios
En los últimos años se ha evidenciado un panorama contradictorio para los quesos mexicanos genuinos, mientras algunos han logrado crecer en el mercado, otros presentan un proceso gradual de desaparición. Con la intensión de identificar las causas que están ocasionando este comportamiento y formular estrategias para su rescate y valorización, se tomaron tres casos de estudio y se aplicó como enfoque metodológico los Sistemas Agroalimentarios Localizados ―SIAL―, el resultado es el presente libro. Se encontró que entre las principales causas que están estimulando el crecimiento de estos quesos se encuentran: el desarrollo de las capacidades de los queseros, la participación activa de los integrantes de la familia, el anclaje territorial del producto, la implementación de estrategias para mejorar la competitividad, la evolución hacía la acción colectiva; la diversificación de mecanismos de difusión del saber-hacer y la innovación, el mejoramiento gradual de la inocuidad, señalización y promoción, el respaldo institucional y la ampliación de los mercados.
