Excerpt from Alexander Gregg: First Bishop of Texas The Life of the First Bishop of Texas was written by his son, Wilson Gregg, after the close of his fathers active episcopate, but while the Bishop was yet living. Several years after the untimely death of Mr. Wilson Gregg, which occurred in 1899, the manuscript was placed in the hands of the present writer for revision and completion and for publication.
