For the short time period the AUVs have shown the efficiency at performance of complex search and inspection works and opened a number of new important applications. Regelmäßige Inspektionen von produktiven Anlagen sind grundlegende Maßnahmen für einen reibungslosen, störungsfreien produktiven Betrieb dieser Anlagen. Kostendruck und neue Offshore-Konstruktionen, wie Windparks, sowie das Vordringen in größere Wassertiefen erfordern einen hohen Grad an Automation und Überwachung. Zwei Inspektionsszenarien werden detailliert behandelt: die Inspektion von Hafenanlagen sowie die Pipeline- und Seekabelinspektion. Dabei werden aktuelle Ansätze sowie die neu entwickelten Verfahren vorgestellt und diskutiert. Eine neue Möglichkeit zur Integration von Inspektionsaufgaben in bestehende Fahrzeugführungs- und Missionsplanungssysteme sowie deren begleitende Prozesse wird entwickelt und umgesetzt. Alle entwickelten Verfahren wurden erprobt.
