Sekolah Multi-Agama merupakan salah satu ruang interaksi sosial antar agama dalam dunia publik, sehingga mengharuskan adanya komunikasi pembelajaran yang damai dan saling menghormati. Dalam konteks ini pendidikan agama Islam menampilkan bentuk yang sangat unik. Disamping mereka menyampaikan pesan agama Islam kepada internal siswa Muslim, mereka juga dihadapkan pada situasi interaktif yang berlangsung dalam komunikasi lintas agama sehari-hari. Hal ini menuntut keterampilan para guru dalam menyampaikan pesan agama agar tidak menyinggung agama yang lain. Buku ini membahas banyak hal tentang bagaimana komunikasi yang harus diciptkan oleh seorang pendidik dalam memberikan pembelajarannya di kelas. Buku ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan beberapa waktu di dua sekolah sekaligus. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan agama Islam harus mampu memberikan wawasan keragaman dengan sikap toleransi dan inklusifnya terhadap agama lain dengan saling menghormati dan menjunjung tinggi kebersamaan dalam keberagaman.
