Tackling Domestic Violence
This report is intended as a guide for practitioners working directly with female victims of domestic violence from Black and other minority ethnic communities. It draws on independent evaluations of multi-agency projects designed to support female victims of domestic violence, which were funded as part of the Home Office Crime Reduction Programme's Violence Against Women Initiative. Findings indicate that the most positive results are achieved through a combination of advocacy and tailored individual work with the women, including the provision of emotional support.

An integrative Heimatkunde – defined as the holistic study of localities and regions – has been a core interest in Ullrich (aka Ulli) Kockel’s research since he first graduated with a double primary in 1984. New Directions in Race, Ethnicity and Crime
The disproportionate criminalisation and incarceration of particular minority ethnic groups has long been observed, though much of the work in criminology has been dominated by a somewhat narrow debate.
