Ha sido escrito después de más de 40 años de experiencia en el ejercicio docente. Es recomendable que el estudiante haya tenido la oportunidad de tomar cursos previos sobre ecuaciones diferenciales en el área de las matemáticas y sobre los fundamentos de la teoría electromagnética en el área de la Física.
