Descendants of George and Jacob Dellinger
George Dellinger (1756-1833) married Mary McKinny in 1803 and had at least one son. His brother, Jacob (1768-1837), married Fannie Wills and had ten children. The families lived in Cherryville, North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived in North Carolina, Maryland, Illinois, Texas and elsewhere.
A Soldier and a Sailor
Two men are on a troopship headed for England. One is a soldier, and the other a sailor. The soldier is thinking of suicide because he is hated by members of his company. The other is a sailor who finds out the soldier's circumstance and talks him into changing places with him rather than take his own life. They get their sergeant and chief to agree to the swap and exchange identities. They are both better suited for their new roles. The soldier's new name is Alvin Adams, and he is shipped to North Africa for America's first battle of World War II. He meets a sergeant, and they become lifelong friends. They go through every major engagement in the war. After the war, they become part of the newly formed CIA and are engaged in the clandestineness of the Cold War. The sailor, now Casey Crane, has just as thrilling of a life as he survives his ships being sunk twice. Once he is picked up by his own ship, but another time by a German U-boat. He escapes and is returned home. Casey and his chief become close friends as they go through harrowing events together. Casey marries his chief's daughter, which adds spice with a love story. Both have eventful careers and keep up with one another.
The Ten
The Ten is a collection of ten short stories based on The Ten Commandments. The collection is broken down into two volumes of five short stories each. The stories range greatly in time periods, ethnic cultures, and subject matter. Stories in the first volume deal with drug addiction, radical Islam, child molestation and redemption, denying God and the Sabbath Day, and honoring one’s parents. The subject matter is hard-hitting and is told as realistically as possible. In some cases, stories come from personal experience, but they have been changed a bit to give them more viability in a story format.
Hurricane Alvin
A powerful category five hurricane is making its way toward the Florida coast. A small city that lies in the path of the hurricane has been completely abandoned-except for two hospital patients: Alvin, a depressed, stoic young man recuperating from a failed suicide attempt, and Erin, a forgotten, wheelchair-bound young woman in desperate need of medical attention. Alvin must decide whether he will postpone another suicide attempt and endure his unending misery to save Erin. Influenced by her emotional appeal, he reluctantly agrees. Trautman, Troutman Family, 1598-1998
Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of Michael Trautmann. He was born ca. 1598 in Schriesheim, Germany, to Sebastian Trautmann and Catherina. He married Margaretha Dorn. She died 12 Oct 1654. They were the parents of at least six children. He married Barbara Kern 15 May 1655. She was born ca. 1624, the daughter of Barthel Kern. She died in 1666. They were the parents of five children. He married Anna Margaretha Scheppler 28 Jan 1668. He died 20 Apr 1684. Descendants immigrated to America ca. 1743.
