Looking at the past from an anthropological perspective, this book deploys and analyses a variety of anthropological concepts to understand the history of Cocos Malay society. Around 400 Cocos Malays reside on their remote Indian Ocean atoll, the Cocos Islands. Possessing a unique culture and dialect, they could be considered Australia's oldest Muslim and oldest Malay group. Yet their society only developed over the past two centuries. The 1st International Conference On Culture, Education, Linguistics, and Literature (CELL) Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Jenderal Soedirman University). The rapid development of information and communication technology on information continuously encourages the global society known as Industrial Revolution 4.0. It was first introduced by German Economist, Klaus Schwab, in his book entitled “The Fourth Industrial Technology” in 2012. The complexity and interconnected sector in our daily life urge all stakeholders of the global society (governments, business actors, academicians, and civil society) have the responsibility to work together. Kedatangan Islam di kalangan orang Bugis pada masa lampau membawa dampak terhadap kehidupan bersastra. Dampak yang pertama terlihat dalam komposisi baris-baris La Galigo versi Bottinna I La Déwata Sibawa Wé Attaweq (BDA) dalam bentuk formula-formula doa dalam bahasa Arab, ayat Alquran, dan nama-nama Allah (asmaul husna).
