Este livro foi construído por vários autores psicólogos, psicanalistas, clínicos e professores de diversas universidades brasileiras que refletiam sobre esse momento da pandemia e seus efeitos traumáticos, os desafios da clínica e da escuta, os dispositivos de cuidados criados para atender várias etapas do desenvolvimento das gestantes ao nascimento, à adolescência e aos idosos. Ele está organizado em cinco grandes eixos temáticos, agregando quatorze capítulos que refletem sobre a catástrofe pandêmica, o favorecimento das situações de desamparo, destrutividade e esgarçamento dos laços sociais. A psicanálise, como campo teórico e clínico de escuta e tratamento do traumático, e as suas interfaces, buscaram constituir uma forma de oposição à destrutividade, ou seja, possibilitar trabalhar em favor de Eros, a favor da vida.
