Alan D. Bennyhoff was born 19 July 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His parents were Curtis Glenn Bennyhoff and Deloris Adele Moeglein. His grandparents were Donald Clifford Bennyhoff, Minnie Clark Geist, John C. Moeglein and Olga Natalia Peterson. His ancestors lived mainly in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Sweden, Norway, Germany and England.
