On behalf of the Program Committee, it is a pleasure for us to introduce the proceedings of the 1st European Across Grids Conference. This event was held in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, February 13-14, 2003. The conference,organized by the University of Santiago (USC), the University of A Coruna (UDC) and the Super computing Center of Galicia (CESGA), was promoted by the European Cross Grid project and supported by the Grid Start Cluster. The idea of organizing this event was born within the Cross Grid community. The IVth International Conference on Quarks and Nuclear Physics
The QNP series of international conferences on Quarks and Nuclear Physics is by now a well established and highly respected forum where the most recent developments in the field are discussed and communicated. QNP 2006 is the forth edition of this biennial meeting. Selected and refereed original contributions of QNP 2006 have been published in The European Physical Journal A - Hadrons and Nuclei (EPJ A), while the present proceedings book, in addition to reprinting the articles published in EPJ A, further includes all other contributions selected and accepted by the organizing committee for publication and archiving.
Adaptive and Natural Computing Algorithms
The two volume set LNCS 4431 and LNCS 4432 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Adaptive and Natural Computing Algorithms, ICANNGA 2007, held in Warsaw, Poland, in April 2007. Analyzes the evolution of contemporary art in Chile from 1973 to 2007.
