In 1878 the Hierarchy was restored to the Roman Catholic Church in Scotland. Dioceses were created and archbishops and bishops replaced the old vicars apostolic. This book provides a biographic dictionary of the secular priests who have served in these dioceses. It takes each diocese in turn and includes both priests ordained for that diocese after 1878 and those lent to it.
