Salah satu masalah kesehatan yang besar dalam negara berkembang adalah hipertensi. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena saat ini banyak terjadi perubahan gaya hidup, World Health Organization (WHO) mencatat bahwa 65,75% penderita hipertensi berada di negara berkembang salah satunya di Indonesia. Insiden hipertensi meningkat seiring bertambahnya usia, di mana kebanyakan hipertensi terjadi pada usia lanjut di atas 60 tahun. Individu yang berumur di atas 60 tahun, 50-60% mempunyai tekanan darah lebih besar atau sama dengan 140/90 mmHg. Di era digitalisasi saat ini, pengobatan berbagai penyakit banyak menggunakan terapi non-farmokologi (tradisional). Salah satunya, adalah pemanfaatan tumbuhan seledri untuk pengobatan tradisional penyakit hipertensi. Salah satu kandungan yang terdapat di Seledri (Apium graveolens L.) adalah Apigenin yang berkhasiat hipotensif. Buku ini memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan bagi para pembacanya mengenai seledri untuk pengobatan hipertensi.
