MENERBITKAN BUKU DI UGM PRESS
Sebagai penerbit universitas yang menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai akademik dan keilmiahan, UGM Press lebih banyak menerbitkan naskah-naskah ilmiah, terutama yang menunjang pendidikan tinggi, seperti buku referensi, buku ajar, dan buku praktikum. Hal ini sejalan dengan pasar utama buku-buku UGM Press yang didominasi oleh para mahasiswa serta civitas akademika. Meskipun begitu, agar masyarakat di luar lingkup akademik dapat juga menikmati bukubuku terbitan UGM Press, serta dalam upaya penyebarluasan ilmu, UGM Press juga mempertimbangkan naskah-naskah ilmiah populer sepanjang naskah-naskah tersebut tetap dalam koridor pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan.
Serpihan-serpihan Imaji
Cerpen “Perjalanan” sampai dengan “Asa yang Tertinggal”, sebanyak 50 buah cerpen yang ditulis oleh 50 orang guru SMA menarik dibaca, bahkan dicermati dan direnungkan. Isi dan isunya menggelitik, dari hal yang remeh-temeh sampai dengan erita yang perlu dpikirkan dengan keras endingnya. Ditulis oleh guru-guru SMA di Jawa Timur dengan berbagai latar belakang sarjana, tapi yang umum merupakan sarjana bahasa dan sastra.
