This volume presents six lively conversations with Hans-Georg Gadamer (born 1900), one of the twentieth century's master philosophers. A presente obra se debruça em torno do racismo global, que corresponde a uma complexidade de fatores que perenizam a desigualdade social, econômica e, por conseguinte, o racismo. Neste cerne, a questão da subalternização e a marginalização da população negra por meio do encarceramento em massa, a brutalidade policial, a pobreza seletiva, frequentes injúrias raciais no esporte mundial, a hipersexualização e animalização de corpos negros constituem fenômenos comuns que acometem a população negra no panorama global, que se veem à margem da cidadania inclusiva, viabilizada por um ideário de contrato social injusto e desigual, que reflete a vontade da branquitude, em que ao homem negro é negada a sua posição como sujeito político e de direito, letigimando desse modo a posição do ser subalterno. Ainda assim, por outro lado, introduz-se uma nova gramática contra-hegemônica, designada por pretobalização que visa emancipar o homem preto no panorama global.
