Militer erat kaitannya dengan manusia. Manusia atau tentara merupakan komponen yang penting dalam militer. Alutsista dan mesin tidak akan berguna bila tidak didukung oleh tentara yang mumpuni. Persoalan terkait kemampuan dan potensi manusia dipelajari di bidang psikologi. Psikologi dapat membantu bidang militer untuk mengetahui kemampuan tentara yang dibutuhkan dan bagaimana keterampilan tersebut dapat dipelajari. Terdapat beberapa topik yang dibahas dalam buku ini: - Penerapan psikologi di dunia militer seperti psikologi perkembangan, psikologi klinis, psikologi industri dan psikologi pendidikan; - Gagasan-gagasan dalam pengembangan manusia untuk menjaga keutuhan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia; - Hasil analisa mengenai fenomena-fenomena yang ada di masyarakat seperti konflik Papua, peran orang tua untuk perkembangan anak, hingga isu-isu di masyarakat.

Editor sebagai dosen pengampu mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia termotivasi memublikasi karya mahasiswa agar menjadi spirit bagi mereka untuk terus berkarya. Buku ini berisi cerita yang diungkap para penulisnya, yang diceritakan melalui kata kata. Yang semuanya memiliki kesan dan susah dilupakan oleh penulisnya.
