Der österreichische Architekt und Designer Hans Hollein (1934-2014) entwarf ab den 1960er Jahren in Wien und weltweit Ausstellungen, die das Publikum in ihren Bann zogen und ihrer Zeit voraus waren. Gabriela Denk wertet erstmals das erhaltene Material aus dem Nachlass Holleins und weiteren Ausstellungsarchiven aus und erschließt so seine bisher wenig bekannten, regen Ausstellungsaktivitäten. Sie zeigt, dass Hollein nicht nur als Architekt in Erinnerung bleiben sollte, sondern auch als inszenierender und szenografischer Gestalter mit einer besonderen Herangehensweise an Displays - was noch über seinen Tod hinaus kreative Ideen für die heutige Ausstellungspraxis liefert.
