Is Every Typeface a Revival?
This publication was initiated during a Type Design brief at Zurich University of the Arts. Students were tasked to select an typeface published before 1999, to which they had a strong emotional connection, either positive or negative. Parallel to articulating personal emotions, students also collected information about the designer, type foundry, historical context and technology of production that led to the creation of the typeface. Revisiting Black Mountain
Das von der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste unter der Leitung des «Kollegium Kuration» initiierte Ausstellungs- und Veranstaltungsprogramm «Revisiting Black Mountain» hat vom 19.April bis 3.Juni 2018 über vierzig Projekte, Ausstellungen, Aufführungen und Vorträge von Lehrenden, Studierenden und Forschenden versammelt. In Auseinandersetzung mit Positionen des legendären Colleges wurde über Gegenwart und Zukunft von Kunsthochschulen, ihre Arbeitsweisen und ihre Rolle in der Gesellschaft nachgedacht, auch um Impulse für Disziplinen weitende Perspektiven zu entwickeln.

Authoritarianism and Resistance in Turkey
This book offers an in-depth overview of Turkish history and politics essential for understanding contemporary Turkey. It presents an analysis on a number of key issues from gender inequality to Islamism to urban regeneration. Museums and Photography
Museums and Photography combines a strong theoretical approach with international case studies to investigate the display of death in various types of museums—history, anthropology, art, ethnographic, and science museums – and to understand the changing role of photography in museums. Contributors explore the politics and poetics of displaying death, and more specifically, the role of photography in representing and interpreting this difficult topic. Critical Ecologies
Environmental movements are the subject of increasingly rigorous political theoretical study. Can the Frankfurt School's critical frameworks be used to address ecological issues, or do environmental conflicts remain part of the "failed promise" of this group? Critical Ecologies aims to redeem the theories of major Frankfurt thinkers--Theodor Adorno, Max Horkheimer, and Herbert Marcuse, among others--by applying them to contemporary environmental crises. Afghan Box Camera
