When you step "Inside the Glow," you step into a dimension of relationships, friendships, and a sense of worship. Marilyn Stacy spreads an umbrella of love over everyday life and experiences as only this "clever, witty, adventuresome, caring" poet can do. Her inner glow shines out through these poems about parents, children, friends, pets, and angels.
A collection of mostly prize-winning poems pokes fun at the absurdities of daily life. The author has a twisted view of ordinary things. She also listens to catfish, reveals the secret of Aunt MamieÕs garden plot, and wants to have a pothole named after her.
The Earth Still Turns is an eclectic collection of world views by six women who write of the joys, doubts, mysteries, humor, and grief encountered in life-and of the courage and strength that help us survive. They recall being poised on the edge of expectation, of finding joy in changing seasons, ...of warm love, cold hearts, family secrets, If you don't talk about it, it didn't happen. ...of a woman, beginning to dwell on death, comforted by the memory of following her daddy, stepping in his footprints as he plowed...regrets of unsatisfied aspirations, the shades of time are drawn with sighs ...on aging, He's lost the tales he once told ...of fighting fears, She stays inside now trusting the roof to keep her grounded. ...of goodbyes, as you breathe more lightly, ready to shed your tired body. ...and of how we go on, just as if the earth is still turning

Anna Sui is one of New York’s most beloved and accomplished fashion designers, known for creating contemporary original clothing inspired by spectacular amounts of research into vintage styles and cultural arcana. She is especially famous for her textile prints. Sui joined New York’s intensely creative cultural underground in the 1970s, forging important relationships in the worlds of fashion, photography, art, music, and design. The World of Anna Sui looks at Sui’s eclectic career as a designer and artist, both through her clothing and studio. Through interviews with fashion journalist Tim Blanks, the book explores Sui’s lifelong engagement with fashion archetypes—the rocker, the schoolgirl, the punk, the goth, the bohemian—and reveals their inspiration and influence. Complete with detailed photographs of garments, sketches, moodboards, runway shots, and cultural ephemera, The World of Anna Sui is an inside look at this iconic New York designer with a worldwide cult following.
