Forage crops are important for the economy of our country as these crops provide major nutritional base in the livestock ration. The National Commission on Agriculture has also emphasized in its report that in order to achieve the so-called ‘White Revolution’ it will be necessary to provide required emphasis on research relating to the improvement and management of forages. India’s average availability of milk per head per day comes to only 100 ml as against our requirement of 220 ml per day. With the increase in world human population and economic growth, the demand for animal products such as milk, meat and eggs in the human diet is bound to increase. The success of dairy and poultry...
Biotechnology is an emerging field of science and as such the government of India is laying a large and exclusive impetus on it. Plant tissue culture is the basic and the most important aspect of Biotechnology. All the molecular biological and biotechnological findings can only be realized in material by the plant tissue culture. Therefore, plant tissue culture has been introduced as a compulsory course in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate syllabi of all the Agricultural Universities, ICAR institutes and other plant science related educational organizations. This book has been designed to benefit the students, the research scholars and the scientists for developing a level of self-confidenc...

The foremost authorities in the field of music from around the world have contributed twenty original essays for this volume, edited by Elizabeth May. Focusing on Britain, France and Germany in the first half of the twentieth century, this book examines the emergence of new transnational networks and ideologies among anticolonialists from the British and French colonies who were active in Europe, and the pro-colonial authorities who tried to control them through surveillance.
A comprehensive description of the current treatment modalities, and while special attention is paid to the role of radiotherapy, established alternative radical surgical procedures and the newer chemotherapeutic regimens are also considered in detail. Devoted entirely to female genital cancers, the book is written by internationally recognised experts from Europe, the United States, and Japan, who all have extensive experience of the special entities involved. Close to 200 tables present the impressive amount of data contributed by the authors in a clear manner and no attempt is made to avoid controversies concerning adequate treatment.
A number of studies of colonial Lahore in recent years have explored such themes as the city's modernity, its cosmopolitanism and the rise of communalism which culminated in the bloodletting of 1947. This first synoptic history moves away from the prism of the Great Divide of 1947 to examine the cultural and social connections which linked colonial Lahore with North India and beyond. In contrast to portrayals of Lahore as inward looking and a world unto itself, the authors argue that imperial globalisation intensified long established exchanges of goods, people and ideas. Ian Talbot and Tahir Kamran's book is reflective of concerns arising from the global history of Empire and the new urban history of South Asia. These are addressed thematically rather than through a conventional chronological narrative, as the book uncovers previously neglected areas of Lahore's history, including the links between Lahore's and Bombay's early film industries and the impact on the 'tourist gaze' of the consumption of both text and visual representation of India in newsreels and photographs.
The First International Symposium on Dielectric Materials and Applications (ISyDMA’2016) was held in Kenitra (4 May, 2016) and in Rabat (May 5-6, 2016), Morocco. ISyDMA’2016 provided an international forum for reporting the most recent developments in Advanced Dielectric Materials and applications. The goal of this collection of peer reviewed papers is to provide researchers and scientists from all over the world with recent developments in dielectric materials and their innovative applications. The book will be useful for materials scientists, physicists, chemists, biologists, and electrical engineers engaged in fundamental and applied research or technical investigations of such materials.
