He is taken in by a local family, and he slowly starts to discover why this house was cursed, that many other children have suffered the same fate, and ten years later finds his way back to his family in Albuquerque. When he returns home, no one believes his strange story of Bella the witch and the notorious witch hunter, Luciano del Valle. Years later, as an adult, he writes his story of witchcraft in rural New Mexico.
