WHEN THEY ARE DEPLOYED TO EUROPE AND NORTH AFRICA. BEN IS WOUNDED AND RETURNED TO THE UNITED STATES. JIM AND HAROLD SERVE OUT THEIR TIME AND THEN PROCEEDED AS BEN HAD DIRECTED THEM. AT THAT TIME THEY EMBARKED ON NEW VENTURES IN THE WORLD OF FINANCE AND BUSINESS. THEIR SUCCESS IS THE RESULT OF THE LEGACY OF BEN WILLIS .

The Home We Know by Ben Willis is a photographic monograph about the residents of Columbus, Ohio. The work was made from 2017-2021. Ben describes the work as a love letter to his community and all that makes it move and thrive. "My work is a labor of love, and the work much like life is held together by that kind of love and admiration for one another but also one's self. When you walk around and interact in the city you've got to remember what you're looking at is also you. I do that through street portraiture. Between 1623 and 1960 (the date of the last execution as of 1999), Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont legally put to death more than 700 men and women for a wide variety of capital crimes ranging from army desertion to murder. This is a companion volume to Legal Executions in New York State and Legal Executions in New Jersey, both published by McFarland. It is comprised of chronologically arranged biographical entries for the executed persons.
