He married Joanna in 1469 and they had four children. Traces direct line of descent to the author, Bernard H. Mason, who was born in 1927 on the Wirral Peninsula, Cheshire. He immigrated to Nova Scotia in 1951. The Mason families lived in Hereford, Staffordshire, Lancashire, Cheshire and North Wales.
