Estes Park, Colorado, 1983: Magick is alive and well in this real-life Shangri-La where a bohemian underground thrives. Kitty Mar and Jimmy Thunder share a special relationship, which is challenged when she meets a Tantrick Cowboy from Texas. A handsome young auto-mechanic named Lance lusts after Beth Gardens, a beauty scarcely old enough to be legal. A young artist named Paul Goodfellow encounters the Great God Pan, and feels attracted to Dennis Giddings, a sanitation engineer, but he is too uncertain to make his feelings known. The long-empty family home of Jimmy is clearly occupied—the question is, by whom, or what?A Dragon Prince and his mother embark on a journey to Colorado to find his long-lost father…All of these happenings are intimately connected—but how?In this tale of what the author calls “Rocky Mountain Magickal Realism,” the author returns to his personal roots.

'[W]hen I found Rice's work I absolutely loved how she took that genre and (...) made [it] feel so contemporary and relevant' Sarah Pinborough, bestselling author of Behind Her Eyes '[Rice wrote] in the great tradition of the gothic' Ramsey Campbell, bestselling author of The Hungry Moon Herod Antipas rules Galilee, Pontius Pilate is the new Roman governor of Judea, and the Roman Empire rules the world. These are turbulent times for Israel, a troubled land of turmoil and insurrection. Now in his thirtieth year, Jesus and his tight-knit family endure a long, dusty winter of disruption and chaos. The 9 Realities of Stardust

THE 9 REALITIES OF STARDUST is a radical presentation of a new "scientific animism," yet its content may seem in many ways quite familiar as it stirs deep memories and associations within you, to remind you of the wonder, the awe, and the enthusiasm that lives at your core. The author empowers you while reminding you of much you probably knew as a small child, and of many things your Ancestors understood directly from their connection with Nature and the world they lived in. In today's world fraught with new forms of corporate media control, and also increasing opportunities to employ the "godlike" powers of cutting-edge technology, one crucial process is that we must "get back to the Garden." We cannot go backwards, but in order to save our species and our planet from unconscious threats, we need to explore anew the concepts of matter, energy, and spirit. This begins as we grasp that indeed, "We are stardust."

Production Frontiers

This book presents a mathematical programming approach to the analysis of production frontiers and efficiency measurement. The authors construct a variety of production frontiers, and by measuring distances to them are able to develop a model of efficient producer behaviour and a taxonomy of possible types of departure from efficiency in various environments. Linear programming is used as an analytical and computational technique in order to accomplish this. The approach developed is then applied to modelling producer behaviour. By focusing on the empirical relevance of production frontiers and distances to them, and applying linear programming techniques to artificial data to illustrate the type of information they can generate, this book provides a unique study in applied production analysis. It will be of interest to scholars and students of economics and operations research, and analysts in business and government.
