Auf dem Weg zum Begriff der negativen Zahl
Grundmuster von Begriffsbildungsprozessen von Schülerinnen und Schülern einer Beschreibung und Analyse zugänglich zu machen, ist ein höchst interessanter und relevanter Bereich der Mathematikdidaktik. Maike Schindler widmet sich dieser Thematik, indem sie einen durch philosophische und psychologische Einflüsse geprägten Theorierahmen nutzt, um individuelle Begriffsbildungsprozesse in ihrem Wechselspiel mit Lernsituationen zu verstehen. Dabei wird die Perspektive auf die Lernenden in ein konstruktives Verhältnis zur fachlichen Strukturierung gesetzt. Die empirische Studie zum Begriff der negativen Zahl zeigt die individuellen Begriffsnetze von Lernenden sowie deren Entwicklungen auf. Die Ergebnisse tragen zur Restrukturierung des mathematikdidaktischen Gegenstandsbereichs bei.

Este libro se dirige a futuros maestros de Educación Primaria, que se aproximan a las matemáticas en términos de su enseñanza y aprendizaje; a maestros en activo, que tendrán un apoyo a la planificación y análisis de sus clases; y a formadores de maestros, que dispondrán de una guía para el diseño y la reflexión sobre el contenido de la formación inicial. Se abordan contenidos matemáticos, sus conexiones y su enseñanza y aprendizaje, teniendo en cuenta los propios objetos matemáticos, lo que incluye estrategias, recursos didácticos y características del aprendizaje de dichos objetos. Para ofrecer al lector un bagaje de estrategias y modos de hacer y producir en matemáticas, se dedican dos capítulos transversales a la resolución de problemas y a los procesos argumentativos. El último capítulo del libro versa sobre perspectivas de análisis de las prácticas de enseñanza, medio en el que finalmente deben confluir y ponerse en práctica los conocimientos construidos.
CUARTO SIMPOSIO DE LA SOCIEDAD ESPAÑOLA DE INVENTIGACION EN EDUCACION MATEMATICA
Del 12 al 15 de septiembre de 2000 se celebró en Huelva el IV Simposio de la Sociedad Española de Investigación en Educación Matemática (SEIEM), una sociedad que desde 1996 promueve la comunicación y debate sobre las investigaciones en Educación Matemática que se desarrollan en nuestro país, es un medio para la consolidación de grupos de investigación y favorece su respaldo por parte de organismos e instituciones. En este encuentro se han alternado sesiones comunes y de los grupos de trabajo. Las sesiones comunes han consistido en seminarios, presentación de proyectos de investigación, presentación de paneles, y una mesa redonda. En los seminarios se mostraron diferentes perspectivas de aproximación a un tema común de investigación y la presentación de los proyectos de investigación va seguida de la reacción de un investigador ajeno a ambos proyectos.
