Following discussions on scientific biography carried out over the past few decades, this book proposes a kaleidoscopic survey of the uses of biography as a tool to understand science and its context. Symbolic and Quantitative Approaches to Reasoning and Uncertainty
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 1999 European Conference on Symbolic and Quantitative Approaches to Reasoning under Uncertainty, ECSQARU'99, held in London, UK, in July 1999. Advances in Soft Computing and Its Applications
The two-volume set LNAI 8265 and LNAI 8266 constitutes the proceedings of the 12th Mexican International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, MICAI 2013, held in Mexico City, Mexico, in November 2013. The total of 85 papers presented in these proceedings were carefully reviewed and selected from 284 submissions. The Relic
When Yuri Varienski, a Ukranian emigré, dies in Jersey, he leaves his daughter Lucy an object—and a great responsibility.
