Angitt av mamma er jøden Maria (Schwartz) Gabrielsens sterke historie, fortalt med hennes egne ord. Marias mor ble forelsket i en SS-offiser. For å starte et nytt liv med ham, anga hun både ektemannen og sine sju barn til Gestapo. Mannen ble sendt til gasskammeret i Auschwitz. Maria og søsknene hennes ble fraktet til konsentrasjonsleiren Therezienstadt i Tsjekkia, dit ca. 144 000 andre jøder også ble sendt under andre verdenskrig. Rundt 33 000 av dem kom aldri tilbake ... Angitt av mamma kom første gang ut i 2006. Dette er en utvidet og revidert versjon, der vi også følger Marias liv fram til i dag.
