La edición universitaria en el contexto de la ciencia abierta
El libro se divide en dos partes. La primera ofrece una visión panorámica de la evolución y situación actual de la edición universitaria en España. Se describen las características de las editoriales, su ditribución geográfica, su gestión económica, etc. A continuación se analiza la producción en monografías (número de títulos, temáticas, idiomas, etc.) y en revistas científicas (títulos, digitalización, portales de difusión, etc.), ofreciendo datos cuantitativos globales. La segunda se centra en el acceso abierto (open access) a la ciencia. Se presentan los fundamentos y antecedentes del acceso abierto. También se analiza la situación de las revistas científicas y los repositorios, los aspectos legales relacionados con la información científica, la actitud de los científicos respecto del acceso abierto y las políticas desarrolladas para facilitar la extensión de este modelo.
