Este texto pretende aportar estudios acerca del aprendizaje personalizado y del education maker. Se trata de dos metodologías que están implantadas en otros sistemas educativos, como es el caso de Finlandia o los Estados Unidos. El aprendizaje personalizado se aplica deseablemente a todo el alumnado. Es especialmente necesario que esté dirigido a alumnos en situación diversidad y a segmentos vulnerables. Por su parte, el método de education maker nace en materias tecnológicas, pero esta estrategia o alguno de los componentes pueden trasladarse a otras disciplinas. Depois de uma curta «Primavera Marcelista», o País assistiu a uma escalada da violência contra todos os portugueses que enfrentavam a ditadura. Entre 1973 e 1974, mais de 500 pessoas, pertencentes a vários movimentos políticos e oriundas de diferentes classes sociais, foram presas e violentados pela PIDE. No forte de Caxias, muitas eram sujeitas às mais sofisticadas e brutais formas de tortura, ensinadas através de um manual entregue pela CIA à polícia política portuguesa, enquanto lá fora se preparava a revolução de 25 de Abril. Depois de meses de sofrimento, os homens e mulheres detidos em Caxias enfrentaram momentos de angústia e incerteza quando souberam que houvera um golpe militar - seria um golpe da esquerda ou, tal como acontecera no Chile, da direita mais radical? Atrás das grades, os prisioneiros enfrentaram essa dúvida durante horas a fio. Sofrendo até ao fim, os últimos presos políticos do Estado Novo só conheceram a liberdade na madrugada de 27 de Abril de 1974 - dois dias depois da revolução que pôs termo a 48 anos de ditadura.
