The Holly Tree 2000
Chiefly the descendants of Vincent Hollingsworth who was born ca. 1752, birth place unknown. He "...lived in Wilkes/Ashe County, North Carolina in the rugged Upper New River Valley for at least thirty-four years."--p. 1. Vincent and his wife Mary (?) had 13 children. He died ca. 1816 in Ashe County, North Carolina. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Texas, Ohio, New York and elsewhere.

The Pirkles and Their Descendants in the U.S.A.
John Pirkle (1725-1822) immigrated from Europe (via Holland in The Netherlands) to Guilford County, North Carolina before the Revolu- tionary War, married a Miss Dibbs, and served in the Revolutionary War, later moving to Rockingham County, North Carolina. Descendants (arranged in alphabetical order by surname, then given name) lived in North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, New Mexico and elsewhere.
