Según la Organización Mundial de la Salud, existen aproximadamente 24 millones de personas que padecen enfermedades neurodegenerativas. Específicamente en Jalisco, las demencias y enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles se encuentran dentro de las principales causas de mortalidad en personas de 60 años o más. Este texto está dirigido a familiares, cuidadores y pacientes relacionados con estas enfermedades, en particular Alzheimer y Parkinson, y proporciona información básica acerca de las principales enfermedades neurodegenerativas, así como los mecanismos que acompañan su aparición y desarrollo. Social Cohesion in the Western World
Many people in the Western world are concerned that the social fabric of societies is fraying.
