Jacob Kready (1748-1826) immigrated from Germany to America as a Hessian soldier during the Revolutionary War, and settled later in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where he married Elizabeth Frey. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kansas and elsewhere.
