Our Carter Family in Tennessee and Arkansas
Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of John Carter who was likely born ca. 1765 in Virginia or South Carolina. He was the son of George Carter and Naomi Turk. John married Zibiah (surname unknown). They lived in Laurens Co., South Carolina and were the parents of two sons and three daughters. Descendants lived in South Carolina, Tennessee, Illinois, Michigan, Arkansas, Texas and elsewhere.
