El presente texto recoge los resultados de los trabajos realizados en el Castillo de La Palma (Mugardos, A Coruña), en el marco del proyecto denominado “Sondeos arqueológicos, lectura de alzados y rectificación de fotografías de fachadas este y sur del Castillo de La Palma”. La mayor parte del mismo corresponde a la memoria técnica entregada en la Dirección Xeral de Patrimonio Cultural, aunque se han incorporado algunos avances sobre la investigación que, con posterioridad a estos trabajos, se han seguido realizado en el castillo, en el marco de la tesis doctoral de la autora del texto, que versa sobre los paisajes fortificados gallegos de época moderna y contemporánea.

These nineteen theoretical and methodological papers, which were presented in sessions held by the EAA in Lisbon in 2000 and in Esslingen in 2001, examine constructions and architectonic spaces' from an archaeological perspective. The buildings discussed comprise both wooden and stone structures discovered during excavations that covered the prehistoric to modern periods. In addition to purely theoretical papers, case studies look at structures in Ethiopia, Mongolia, across the Roman empire and in medieval France, Spain and Lithuania. Illustrated throughout.

Biomarkers and Nutrients in Musculoskeletal Disorders
The present Special Issue summarizes the available scientific evidence concerning the nutrients and biomarkers in musculoskeletal diseases linked to the metabolic conditions secondary to COVID-19 confinement, osteoporosis prevention for patients with inflammatory bowel diseases, and the nutritional status in patients with spinal muscular atrophy. Furthermore, it explores the novel findings for experimental animal models of pharmacological agents to improve the regeneration of muscle tissue; acetylcholine spontaneous release located in the neuromuscular junction in mice, secondary to hypercaloric diet supplementation with an increase in spontaneous neurotransmission and the activation of myofascial trigger points associated with myofascial pain syndrome; and myogenic biomarkers in musculoskeletal conditions and gene expression associated with vitamin D and L-cysteine co-supplementation. This Special Issue is edited by a multidisciplinary group comprising the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Universidade da Coruña, and Universidad Europea de Madrid.
In Search of European Liberalisms
Since the Enlightenment, liberalism as a concept has been foundational for European identity and politics, even as it has been increasingly interrogated and contested. This comprehensive study takes a fresh look at the diverse understandings and interpretations of the idea of liberalism in Europe, encompassing not just the familiar movements, doctrines, and political parties that fall under the heading of “liberal” but also the intertwined historical currents of thought behind them. Here we find not an abstract, universalized liberalism, but a complex and overlapping configuration of liberalisms tied to diverse linguistic, temporal, and political contexts.

This work focuses attention on the design of a renewed theoretical-methodological device on which a comprehensive Archaeology of Architecture could be based. It brings together the papers from two EAA sessions organized in San Petersburg 2003 and Lyon 2004. The interest in this line of work became evident in both sessions, with outstanding contributions from several European specialists, who at the same time, focused attention on chronological-cultural matters spanning the period from the Neolithic to the Modern Age.
