Included in the index of nearly 50,000 names are the current generations, and all of those preceding, which trace ancestry to our family patriarch, William Cromartie who was born in 1731 in Orkney, Scotland and his second wife, Ruhamah Doane who was born in 1745. Arriving in America in 1758, William Cromartie settled and developed a plantation on South River, a tributary of the Cape Fear near Wilmington, North Carolina. Economic Analysis of the Digital Economy
There is a small and growing literature that explores the impact of digitization in a variety of contexts, but its economic consequences, surprisingly, remain poorly understood. This volume aims to set the agenda for research in the economics of digitization, with each chapter identifying a promising area of research. Michael Mitchell was born between 1670 and 1675, probably in England. His parents are unknown. He married Sarah Catlin, daughter of John Catlin and Mary Baldwin, ca. 1694. They had nine children, then divorced in 1718, and Michael disappeared.
