The tobacco area of the west Henan Province is located at the border of Henan, Shanxi, and Shaanxi provinces, which is a transition zone of subtropical and warm temperate zone with mild climate and sufficient light. This area is suitable for the growth of high-quality tobacco leaves. However, in recent years, drought in the fast- growing period occurs often in tobacco leaf production, leading to late growth, late maturity, and declining quality of tobacco leaves. This study has found that the rainfall was low before July and had a high inter-annual variability by the analysis of the rainfall from April to September 1986-2022 in Sanmenxia [Sanmenxia, a city in Henan, China] tobacco-growing ar...
The Seventh National Population Census (NPC) results show that China's population structure has undergone profound changes. While the rates of education penetration and urbanization continue to rise, issues such as population aging and low fertility rates have become prominent. Currently, most of the research on the economic effects of population structure mainly focus on constructing a certain static panels to analyze certain demographic factors, lacking consideration of the wholeness and correlation aspects of popula...
As one of the world's most important crops, potatoes play an important role in maintaining the stability of the global food supply. Many countries, including China, believe that food supply security is a basic condition for maintaining national stability and development. Therefore, potatoes can not only solve the problem of international food shortage, but also promote the development of international trade. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of planting technology, the global production and trade volume of potatoes have also been continuously increasing. However, the development of traditional potato quality grading technology is relatively slow. Currently, it still relies on ...
With the acceleration of China's “carbon peak, carbon neutrality” process and the deepening of energy transformation, the demands for flexible regulated resources in the power system will be further increased. The installed capacity of gas turbines will have a great room for its growth. Combined with the speed-up development of electricity-to-gas technology, the electricity-gas interconnection systems (EGIS) are becoming the essential energy carriers. The construction of EGIS promotes renewable energy consumption and low-carbon transition of the energy systems. At the same time, it also brings about some potential security risks. The interdependence of the heterogeneous energy flows make...
This book contains the invited papers and a selection of research papers submitted to Computer Animation '93, the fifth international workshop on Computer Animation, which was held in Geneva on June 16-18, 1993. This workshop, now an annual event, has been organized by the Computer Graphics Society, the University of Geneva, and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne. During the international workshop on Computer Animation '93, the sixth Computer-generated Film Festival of Geneva, was also held. The volume presents original research results and applications experience to the various areas of computer animation. Most of the contributions are related to motion control, visualization, human animation, and rendering techniques.
