The three-volume set LNCS 12681-12683 constitutes the proceedings of the 26th International Conference on Database Systems for Advanced Applications, DASFAA 2021, held in Taipei, Taiwan, in April 2021. The total of 156 papers presented in this three-volume set was carefully reviewed and selected from 490 submissions. Dominance is an intuitive concept that can be used in many different ways in diverse application domains. The concept of dominance is based on the values of the attributes of each object. An object dominates another object if is better than . This goodness criterion may differ from one user to another. However, all decisions boil down to the minimization or maximization of attribute values. In this book, we will explore algorithms and applications related to dominance-based query processing. The concept of dominance has a long history in finance and multi-criteria optimization. However, the introduction of the concept to the database community in 2001 inspired many researchers to contribute to the area. Algorithms and Models for the Web-Graph
This volume constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 6th Workshop on - gorithms and Models for the Web Graph, WAW 2009, held in Barcelona in February 2009. The World Wide Web has become part of our everyday life, and information retrieval and data mining on the Web are now of enormous practical interest. The algorithms supporting these activities combine the view of the Web as a text repository and as a graph, induced in various ways by links among pages, links among hosts, or other similar networks. We also witness an increasing role of the second-generation Web-based applications Web 2.0, such as social networking sites and wiki sites. Recent Advances in the Geometry of Submanifolds
This volume contains the proceedings of the AMS Special Session on Geometry of Submanifolds, held from October 25–26, 2014, at San Francisco State University, San Francisco, CA, and the AMS Special Session on Recent Advances in the Geometry of Submanifolds: Dedicated to the Memory of Franki Dillen (1963–2013), held from March 14–15, 2015, at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Ml. The focus of the volume is on recent studies of submanifolds of Riemannian, semi-Riemannian, Kaehlerian and contact manifolds. Some of these use techniques in classical differential geometry, while others use methods from ordinary differential equations, geometric analysis, or geometric PDEs. By brainstorming on the fundamental problems and exploring a large variety of questions studied in submanifold geometry, the editors hope to provide mathematicians with a working tool, not just a collection of individual contributions. This volume is dedicated to the memory of Franki Dillen, whose work in submanifold theory attracted the attention of and inspired many geometers.
