I wrote this story when I took a 45-minute writers' class at a conference about writing children's books. During the course, we discussed the possible settings, concerns, and other important details a child might have as they grow up. The instructor gave us two five-minute breaks to "brainstorm" and develop possible stories for children. By the end of the second break, I had almost completely written this story. Chelle Chelle is between the ages of three and five years old. I based her on my daughter, Michelle when she was about that age. What may seem simple to an adult is crucial to a child. I designed the Chelle Chelle stories to be entertaining but informative about life issues and growing up. Little ones experience all sorts of things as they grow, and my goal is to help them understand they can trust Jesus to be there for them. Hopefully, they can learn Godly lessons as they grow. I hope adults and children enjoy these stories.
