Our McGinnis Family
The McGinnis family originally of Ireland. James McGinnis, son of "Old" Edmund (Edward) and Sarah McGinnis, with his brother John and sister Nella, came from Ireland. James McGinnis and his wife Sarah Davis McGinnis, who were married ca. 1774 in Virginia, lived in Frederick Co., Virginia in the last half of 1700. They were parents of eight children born between 1774 and 1793. Descendants live in Virginia, West Virginia, Oregon, Missouri and elsewhere.

Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of John Christopher Lambert (or Lampert) who was born 18 September 1725 in Jugenhein in Rheinhessen, Germany. He was the son of Johann Philipp Lambert and Anna Martha Koenigsman. John immigrated to America and landed in Philladelphia 15 September1749. He married three times, lived in Winchester, Virginia and became the father of ten known childred. Descendants lived in Virginia, West Virginia, New York, Ohio, Alabama, California and elsewhere.

Adam Lambert was born in about 1739 in Jugenheim, Rheinhessen, Germany. He emigrated in 1759 and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He married Maria Salome Hammacher in about 1765. They had thirteen children. He died in about 1817 in Augusta County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Quebec, Michigan and Missouri.

Treloar Genealogy
Robert Treloar and Alice John were married in 1574 at Wendron, Cornwall, England. They had eleven children, 1573-1588/9, all born at Wendron. Their descendant, Bennet Treloar, was born in 1781 at Wendron, the son of James Treloar (1744-1824). He married Ann Tremaine (1789-1872) in 1810 at Wendron. They had thirteen children, 1811-1834. Bennet and Ann Treloar and some of their children immigrated to the United States in 1853. He died at Linden, Wisconsin, in 1853. She died at the home of her daughter at Ogden, Iowa. Descendants listed lived in Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Cornwall, England, and elsewhere. Record chiefly follows line of descent to the author, Dr. Orson Lee Treloar. He was born in 1901 at Ogden, Iowa. He married twice and was the father of five children. Descendants listed lived in Iowa, Colorado, Utah, Ohio, and elsewhere. He was living at Afton, Wyoming, when the book was published.
