Samuel Christian Pape hat in nur kurzer Zeit eine Reihe von viel beachteten Gedichten um die Wende zum 19.Jahrhundert geschrieben. Darüber hinaus hat er sich um die Übersetzung des Buches Hiob verdient gemacht. Den eigenen Ansprüchen nicht genügend und von namhaften Kritikern verrissen zog er sich früh aus der Dichtung zurück und starb einsam und vergessen. Nicht zuletzt Arno Schmidt ist es zu verdanken, dass er in unserer Zeit wieder entdeckt wurde.

Logical Empiricism and Pragmatism
This book explores the complexity of two philosophical traditions, extending from their origins to the current developments in neopragmatism.
