Bildungshabitus und Schulwahl
Seit Jahrzehnten wird auf den engen Zusammenhang zwischen sozialer Herkunft und gewählter Schulform beim Übergang nach der Grundschule hingewiesen. Wie kommen aber die Schulwahlentscheidungen in den Familien tatsächlich zustande? Welche Schulen werden überhaupt in den Blick genommen, welche Rolle spielen die bildungsbiografischen Erfahrungen der Eltern und inwieweit haben die Kinder Einfluss auf die Entscheidungen? Diesen Fragen geht diese rekonstruktive Studie nach. Die Auswertungen mit der dokumentarischen Methode zeigen, wie die Praxis des Bildungshabitus zu unterschiedlichen, typologisch systematisierten Schulwahlentscheidungen führt. Auf der Grundlage einer sozialisationstheoretischen Reinterpretation des Bourdieuschen Habituskonzepts werden Transformationspotentiale des Bildungshabitus im Zusammenspiel von Individuum, Familie und schulischem Feld ausdifferenziert.
