Simon Leinmann (1904–1990) war ein neuapostolischer Christ jüdischer Herkunft. 1926 hatte er sich schließlich in Berlin niedergelassen. Er arbeitete, heiratete, gewann einen Freundeskreis, engagierte sich in seiner Kirchengemeinde. Doch 1938 wurde er als "Ostjude" nach Polen deportiert. Er verlor alles: seine Frau, seine Heimat, seine Freunde, seine Kirchengemeinde. Wie brüchiges Gemäuer brach Leinmanns Sehnsuchtsraum zusammen. Nach dem Kriegsausbruch 1939 geriet er wegen seiner jüdischen Herkunft in einen menschenverachtenden Gewaltraum. Dass er die Shoa schwer gezeichnet überlebte, grenzt an ein Wunder. Sein Leben war gekennzeichnet von Brüchen, traumatischen Erfahrungen, Verletzungen, wechselnden Identitäten. Karl-Peter Krauss bietet Einblicke in ein fragmentiertes Leben.
