In Berlin geschehen hintereinander mehrere grausame Morde. Immer wurde dem Opfer eine Buchseite eines bekannten Bestsellerautors zugesteckt, auf der der Mord in allen Einzelheiten beschrieben ist. Handelt es sich um einen wahnsinnigen Autor, der die Theorie in die Praxis umsetzt, oder will ihm nur jemand die Morde anhängen? Die Kripo tappt lange im Dunkeln, bis sich endlich ein Silberstreif am Horizont zeigt. Die Lösung lag von Anfang an so nahe, aber niemand hatte auf die Vorzeichen geachtet.
