Inside you'll find some of my most treasured early writings inter-mixed with newer material. Some short fiction, and what I've loosely called 'philosophical literary prose', as well as a few pieces of good old rhyme n' poetry that will provide inspiring food for your mind. Somewhat in-depth serious topics are covered, sometimes with a romantic flow, and I do think you'll enjoy the perspectives presented. I thought it a good idea to not be linear along the time line with this material, and to be honest I donât know why, but I did so with my book of art âMad Thru The Ages Artâ, as well. Call it ⦠quirky. They'll take you for a ride into new places, new feelings and ideas, Iâm sure. Please Enjoy!

This story is a work of fiction. But at the same time, it isn’t. It’s a fantastical, hyper-sensationalized shadow of what may probably be a similar situation in your own career. IT organizations everywhere struggle daily to keep heads afloat in an ever-shifting sea of business requirements. New servers, new services, new lines of business — and all the while it’s the job of IT to keep technology running. That’s a hard job. This book’s fictional premise serves the purpose of telling what I hope is a really fun story. I mean, it’s not every day that puppies and garage doors get to meet in such… interesting ways. But surrounding that fiction is a parable every IT professional mu...
In November 2018, Baptist preacher Mark Harris beat the odds, narrowly fending off a blue wave in the sprawling Ninth District of North Carolina. But word soon got around that something fishy was going on in rural Bladen County. At the center of the mess was a local political operative named McCrae Dowless. Dowless had learned the ins and outs of the absentee ballot system from Democrats before switching over to the Republican Party. Bladen County's vote-collecting cottage industry made national headlines, led to multiple election fraud indictments, toppled North Carolina GOP leadership, and left hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians without congressional representation for nearly a yea...
He says: "I'll explain this. Why not? And Why? Art explains itself, doesn't it? Oh, Who cares why. In any case, in picture form this book tells a very small piece of a very odd story. My story. Call 'em ... excerpts from the mind of a self proclaimed genius, (half of the time half mad? ... khhm) created in-between while he writes fiction, literature, music, and survives. You know the story, well, their version anyway. Or do you? It seems, really though, that I just couldn't let them sit without sharing them. Just couldn't. Makes sense, don't it? Each piece tells a little story of it's own: Maybe a state of mind; maybe an observation of others or of self; and maybe, just maybe what they reflect is far too esoteric and all-be-it bizarre to justify with any explanation what-so-ever. Oh, you decide.
What would you rather have-conventional success or a high level beyond success? Dan Clark, one of the world's leading inspirational speakers and leadership trainers, vehemently opposes the conventional wisdom about success. He believes it's tragic and superficial to build our careers and personal lives around getting more money, bigger houses, cooler toys, and fancier job titles. What's it all worth in the end? How many outwardly successful people still feel empty inside? Clark has spent decades traveling around the world, interviewing the famous and powerful; consulting with presidents and generals and sheikhs and corporate leaders; creating a multimillion-dollar business; and (before any of the above) overcoming a paralyzing injury
